We were approached by IndoGenius for documenting the journey of 25 Ohio University students accross four cities of India; New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mumbai. IndoGenius is a company that helps universities and government agencies from around the world interact with India. Over the last few years it has worked with dozens of UK, US and EU institutions and their Indian counterparts: helping establish strategic initiatives including academic and research collaborations; campus development plans; graduate careers opportunities and alumni relations
Interesting projects IndoGenius is involved with include:
• Supporting UK Universities with initiatives to help graduates (Indian and British) secure career opportunities (incl. internships) in India.
• Joint-Venture partner on a project in Madhya-Pradesh to build a new city with international airport, industrial parks and an 890 acre research-led university campus which will be run by IndoGenius.
• Developing mobile phone applications to provide free online education to millions of Indian students. The project will involve UK students who will develop 21st Century job skills by supporting the education of their Indian counterparts.
• In association with King’s College London, running the UKIERI Study India Programme in Delhi. This included providing the key educational aspects (such as talks on how to live and work in India, cultural and historical visits and organising high profile guest speakers). IndoGenius also arranged the local logistics including coordinating the internships.
